The Sarjeant Company is the only local Readymix producer with a concrete lab in Simcoe County. We offer a variety of testing services to ensure your project meets specifications.

See below a list of services our Quality Control department provides. Please contact your Sales representative for further information.

Testing procedures have been provided, with permission, by the RMCAO. Testing must be conducted by a certified technician* and in accordance to CSA A23.1/.2**

Slump Test: A test for determining consistency/workability of concrete by measurement of the spreading of a specified volume of concrete over a flat plate. Slump Test Printable Version

Air Content Test: A test for determining the air content of plastic concrete using pressure in a vacuum. Air Content Test Printable Version

Compressive Strength Test: A test for determining if concrete meets the specified strength by subjecting cast cylinder samples to crushing loads. Casting Cylinders Printable Version Compressive Strength Test Printable Version

*FIELD TESTING CERTIFICATION
To comply to CSA A23.1/.2, all field testing personnel shall be certified. A CSA or ACI certificate clearly stating name of individual, certified company of employment, date of expiry, and the tests for which the individual is certified shall identify all field test personnel.

**IMPORTANT NOTE:
Concrete tests not sampled, made, cured and handled in accordance to CSA A23.1/.2 shall not be considered valid and will not be accepted by the Ready Mixed Concrete Producer.
If there are any questions, or any occurrences of improper field testing of concrete, please contact your Concrete Supplier or the Ready Mixed Concrete Association of Ontario.
